I had the honor of capturing Tanya and Tommy’s special day located in Door County, WI. The ceremony was held in Egg Harbor and the reception was at the beautiful Leathem Smith Lodge in Sturgeon Bay. The colors were beautiful and Tommy and Tanya were such a fun loving couple to work with and so down to earth. The way Tommy looked at his beautiful bride was the most adorable thing to witness and I know they will have a future filled with lots of love. If you would like to view a slideshow I created of their day here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5FJ3I0EwM8 Here are some of my favorites, I hope you enjoy them! (PS. Brides: Book early if you want to ensure your wedding date with me as I am almost fully booked in 2015 and am booking weddings into 2016 🙂 I would love to capture your day!)

Check out some of my favorites from Chris and Hollie’s Engagement Session… They brought their beloved pup Copper along to join in on the session which of course I love (Huge animal lover here) and the fall colors were just past their peak and captured beautifully. We ended the session at an apple orchard with a little picnic and had a blast. I look forward to capturing Chris and Hollie’s Wedding this September~

So I have been crazily behind on blogging but better late than never right….. We had the most beautiful fall day for Nick and Nina’s Wedding, the sun was out in full force shining down on us and it could not have been more perfect weather. I arrived at the salon where the girls were getting ready and every single one of them welcomed me with their big bright smiles ready to celebrate a wonderful couple. I was so excited to capture all of the beautiful details and as I was doing so one of the bridesmaids had shown me a feather which she explained to me was always worn by Nick’s Father who is no longer with us. I knew I wanted to incorporate this feather so I did some beautiful ring shots with the feather and they are soo meaningful to me when I look at those images. I love the raw emotion I was able to capture throughout the day and I could truly tell Nick and Nina were loved by soo many. They were so laid back, full of smiles and their love for each other was very apparent. After the first dances were complete and my time was done I had felt like I became a part of their family, I could not believe how kind and welcoming every single person who attended their wedding was to me. Here are some of my favorites from their lovely day!

Adelynn was 10 days new during her session and did such a good job for me. By the end of the session I fell in love with this little peanut and wanted to keep her as my own. She was such a beautiful baby and we were able to capture soo many adorable photos. Although newborn sessions are hard work that involve patience to perfect every single pose, the outcome is so worth it and I love capturing these little tiny features that parents will cherish forever since these little ones grow so fast, and on top of it all I get my baby fix snuggling these peanuts 🙂 Here are some of my favorites from sweet Adelynn’s session:

I had a blast with Kayla and Jered during their engagement session and look forward to their wedding this coming summer. They were soo smiley, giggly and adorable together and we had some beautiful light that day to work with. Kayla and Jered were giggling the entire time at my crazy weirdness and in return we got some natural smiles that I love. Here are some of my favorites, Enjoy!

It was one of the first chillier fall days we had but it did not stop us from having a blast and creating stunning images during our session. These two were absolutely adorable together and I loved how fun and playful they were with one another. I could not help but giggle with excitement during the entire session at how cute they were together and knew right away we were going to click. There are some people you just connect with right away and we did just that from the start of our session, I think it is soo important to not only love the style of your photographer you choose for your wedding but also to have that relational connection with your photographer and I cannot wait to capture their big day. These two are not only beautiful people on the outside, but just as beautiful on the inside. When they are around each other they are glowing with big smiles and laughter and I had a blast capturing them together. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from the session, I love the fall season we were able to capture as well, Enjoy!

So I have not done a blog post in quite some time due to how crazy busy I have been and have just tried to focus my time on catching up on editing but I knew I wanted to blog Baby Chase’s session. Chase is a very very special young boy with so much fight in him and I wanted to share his story and show you what a little cutie pie he is. Chase was born Sept. 6th, 2013 at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin with what the doctors thought was a mild case of hydrocephalus. At 2 days old Chase started having clinical seizures and was diagnosed with a rare brain condition called Hemimegalencephaly. Hemimegalencephaly is a rare neurological condition in which one side of the brain is abnormally larger than the other. The unusual and enlarged brain tissue causes frequent seizures. In Chase’s case he was having intractable seizures, unable to be fully controlled by medication so it was decided that the best treatment for Chase would be a functional hemispherectomy. What that means is they would go in and disconnect his right hemisphere from his left. Chase had a hemispherectomy at 2 months old. Chase’s parents have stood by his side from the moment he was born, knowing what a fighter he is and having hope for him every single day, even when doctor’s didn’t. Today he is a happy, strong little boy that I had the pleasure of photographing for his one year old photos. He recently underwent a second surgery for a revision hemispherectomy to get some of the missed connections in the front part of his brain that had been causing him to have seizures again. He once again proved what a fighter he is and recovered very quickly after surgery and is now doing great. These photos show how happy Chase is and what an adorable, sweet kid he is going to grow up to be. Here are some of my favorites from my session with Chase, I Hope you love them.
